YOUR SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

 

Our main priority is the health and safety of our team and members. The research and development of our gym’s protocols are in accordance with both the city of Seattle and the State of Washington.

 

COVID-19 Safety training

  • Registration for classes via Mindbody will be strictly implemented to help limit the number of people per class.

  • All classes are reduced to 45 minutes to allow enough time to sanitize the facility and equipment between classes.

  • A safety briefing is conducted at the beginning of each personal training session or class to reemphasize the protective measures for everyone to include maintaining social distancing, sanitation protocols, and pre-session screening.

  • Each client will sign a waiver of consent and commitment to the facility’s reopening policies prior to their scheduled appointment time.

  • Clients will be asked to wear training attire to the facility and bring their own hand towel and water bottle.

  • Clients will be provided with clean and sanitized equipment to use. Exchanging equipment is not allowed. Returning equipment without cleaning is not allowed. Clients should clean their equipment before and after usage.

  • In the exercise room, there will be 6 markings on the floor numbered 1-6. Clients will use these spots as personal workout stations. The same system will be applied to heavy bags. Clients are not allowed to change or swap stations.

  • Street shoes are not allowed in the exercise area.

  • Every client must bring their own hand wraps, gloves, and shinguards.

Pre-screening

 

  • High-risk clients include people over the age of 65, people with serious underlying medical conditions like chronic lung disease, moderate to severe asthma, and people who are immunocompromised. High-risk clients will not be allowed in the gym throughout Phase 2.5

  • Temperature screening and questionnaires will be done before every training session.

Physical distancing

 

  • Social distancing guidelines of at least six feet of separation must be maintained by every person in the facility at all times to the best of their abilities. 

  • When working with a partner both clients must wear a face mask.

  • We require all members and staff to wear face coverings when inside the facility, except while engaging in strenuous exercise.

  • Each client will be designated to a spot (marked with a number on the floor), a heavy bag, and equipment. None of these can be swapped and they must be sanitized before and after use.

  • Locker room use will be limited to restroom use only.

 

Hygiene

  • Restrooms are frequently cleaned and appropriately disinfected throughout the day.

  • High touch areas such as workout stations, countertops, light switches, railings, doorknobs, and exercise equipment are frequently disinfected.

  • Clients are required to bring their own water bottles.

  • Water fountain use shall be restricted to water bottle filling only.

  • Congregating at water bottle filling stations shall be limited.

  • All clients will wash their hands at the moment of arriving at the gym (front desk will provide hand sanitizer upon entrance to the exercise room).

  • This will be supervised by the trainer or front desk operator

  • Towels, hand wraps, and other personal training items forgotten by the clients will be thrown away

 

Sanitation and cleaning of equipment

 

  • Exercise equipment will be sanitized immediately before and after use.

  • Sanitation spray or wipes will be dispersed throughout the exercise area.

  • Trainers must wash their hands and use hand sanitizer before and after each training session.

Ventilation

 

  • The front door will be open when possible and utilize fans to improve ventilation.  

 

Symptoms monitoring

 

All clients and trainers will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms with the following questions:

  • Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?

  • Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?

  • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?

  • Have you had a loss of taste or smell?

  • Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
